Crazy cleaning. Crazy, crazy cleaning. We had to have the plumber come out because 3 out of our 4 toilets were leaking. So, have to clean all the bathrooms so the plumber won’t throw up on himself as he works. Steven’s room had disintegrated so far that he couldn’t possibly clean it himself. He also kindly asked for my help as he thought he’d lost his 3DS in there and couldn’t find it. He had also taken his Easter basket in there. I had filled it with dried beans so I could stand things up in it. He took the whole thing in there and, of course, “accidentally” dumped it, spreading about 2 cups of dried kidney beans everywhere. Behind every piece of furniture I found pieces of Bionicles & Legos, globs of clay, beans and regular, everyday dust. Ew.
It took me about 2 hours to get it straightened out. Then I was able to finally hang some of the artwork I’d found for his room. He also had a map that he decided he’d like hung over his desk – I thought that was cool, so I got on it. I found these 3 Doctor Who prints on etsy that I thought would look amazing and I was right. Plus – Doctor #10. Unbeatable.
The WW2-style Dalek print was hung a while ago, but now it all goes together. With the Tardis light switch cover and several Daleks scattered about, it’s an awesome Doctor Who room.
So, tomorrow’s the 1st day of school for Maggie & Henry. Time to fire up the grindstone again. Hope things are smooth this year.Tweet
