More workout ideas!

I’ve been continuing my working out – as you’ve read – and on Sunday I actually walked 3 miles! Very exciting for me. I’m still working on putting together good music for walking. It’s difficult to find music that I like that also has the proper tempo so I’m not walking too fast or too slow. However, I did do some Google searching to look for “music for walking” and found some good songs that I’ve added to my playlist and took off the ones that didn’t work. I think I might be able to get up to 4 miles by the end of next week. That is, if I stop feeling horrible-sick with sinus headaches. Blah.

I’m also starting to think about what I’m going to do when the weather turns. I’ve got a couple walking tapes I can do here at home, but then I came across this new workout called XFLOWSION. Apparently, it’s the new hot thing in Hollywood for exercise and I’m wondering if it’ll work for me. It sounds pretty cool. It combines 3 different types of exercise for what they call the ultimate total body workout. It combines the proven best moves from martial arts, power yoga, and dance and, if you go to the website and watch the video, it actually looks kind of fun!

I don’t know if it’s something I’m capable of doing at my fitness level right now, but it think it might be worth a try. It’s developed by celebrity trainer Eric Paskel, who has shaped up some of the hottest bodies in Hollywood and this workout has been featured in Shape and InStyle magazines and mentioned in other magazines as the hot new Hollywood exercise regimen. I’m not yet at the point where I’m trying to “lose those last pounds”, as I’ve got about 70 pounds to lose, so I’m still at the “get moving at all” point. But, if I’m physically capable of doing it, it might be a good video to work in to a rotation to keep it fresh as winter approaches and I can’t go out and walk anymore. I think I’m going to check it out. It certainly can’t hurt, right?
